Rush bassist Geddy Lee, an avid baseball fan, donated about 200 signed baseballs over to the Negro League museum in Kansas City. Here is Geddy singing "O Canada" at a MLB All-Star game.
The Yankees drafted a 102 year-old Negro League veteran yesterday, and several other Negro League vets were drafted as well. It's a nice gesture, but it shows the lack of value of the late rounds of the MLB amateur draft.
Update: Stephen Karlson notes that the drafting of Negro League players was directed from above. I hadn't known that.
