Phil, I haven't had time yet to read your paper, but did you correct for the effects of concession sales on that elasticity measure? I recall getting a similar result in the early 1990s when I did this, but most teams had elasticities around -0.4 when ticket price was used alone.

Also, some increase in demand should be expected from the increased amenities Royals Stadium will have post-renovation.


No we didn't. Our data did not allow us to control for concession prices.
