I'm in Seattle now, attending the WEAI's. I arrived around 5:00 local time after an unadventurous 3.5 hour trip from Minneapolis. Having never been to Seattle, my first impression was "lush." It's very wet, cool, and green out here. That's no surprise to locals and regular visitors, but that's what impressed this midwesterner.
I'm having an Old Seattle Lager at the moment. My first thought "who poured me a wheat beer?" But now it reminds me more of a traditional pilsner. I probably won't seek another one out, but if it's all that is available or if anyone decides to buy me one, I won't pass it up. Take that for what it's worth.
Tomorrow is filled with sessions and then a baseball game. Hopefully the sports economics crew will be rested enough to have a few beers.
